‘Moving from pain to performance’

Ever since I was a young child I’ve loved watching how people move and go about their lives. Not just the physical structure, but the level of effort and (dis)comfort and the sense of elegance. Whether analysing how people walk, or noting the shift in grace when you are energised or distracted, my passion is in human behaviour, specifically alignment.

Having resolved my own challenges (trauma affecting six spinal joints and two neck joints, a concussion and facial injury), I found that it’s not just about ‘doing’ exercises. Crucially, it’s about learning how your mind-body work. And my love of learning drives helping you find a route to greater health.

Remember you only get only mind-body – that’s it. Just one unique vehicle through which you act to create and experience your life.

Each week, I see 150 or more such vehicles, 150 unique individuals wishing to:

  • Experience less pain, or more movement,

  • Reduce the risk of illness and injury,

  • Find more energy,

  • Better compete or perform.

The approach we’ll take to improving your posture is bespoke. It’s evolved from observation, trauma and more formal training in ergonomics, nlp, mechanics and relaxation. It includes releasing techniques, visualisation, insight, and yes, there are lots of physical exercises too!

So whether you’ve a particular issue such as a scoliosis or Charcot Marie Tooth, have learned a limiting posture, or are fatigued, my goal is to provide an environment where you can learn about how your mind and body are working, and to encourage you to find your way to helping them work with more grace and harmony toward your goals. They may also be some celebrating along the way, as you become more aligned and stand that little bit taller, move that little more with ease!
